I went from hating Peter Hale because he was a spoiled, self-centered guy, but he changed and I ended up actually liking him and hoping that he would achieve his goal of winning the case in the end.  The author had a way of weaving people in and out of his life - some to make him fail and others to help him succeed.  The author kept my interest and I wanted to keep reading.  I'd read another novel by him.

    Interesting how you can hate or like a character in a book. I think that's good writing to have such strong feelings. Also thought it was interesting that you went from hating the Peter to rooting for him in the end. I wonder if the author was purposefully trying to do that. Hmmm...

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
