Mom thought it was time for me to write a note to thank everyone who were concerned about me.  So I thought I share a little about how I've been feeling and everything that's been happening to me. It all started about three weeks ago.  I didn't have any energy and I had a really hard time getting up off the floor.  My back legs didn't seem to want to work and they really hurt whenever I moved.  I just laid around and looked pitifully at Mom and Dad.  They talked and were really worried about what was going on with me.  They tried to coax me with all my favorite treats, but I really wasn't hungry.  I couldn't get up on the couch or the bed upstairs.  I couldn't go up and down the stairs.  It hurt. As Mom told you a couple of weeks ago, we went to the vet, took x-rays, got medicine.  I still didn't know what was happening, I tried to walk, I tried to jump, I tried to eat, but nothing wanted to work right. Friday evening we had our Divine Diva Spring event - a potluck, devotions, singing and creating greeting cards to send to our troops overseas for them to send to loved ones back home.  All cards are being shipped to Operation Write Home and they forward them to the troops. Several of us designed the cards, cut all the pieces, put them in packets, ready to be assembled.  We had samples for them to follow or they could use the pieces and create their own cards.  We made 175 packets of birthday cards for adults and children, missing you, thinking of you, love and special cards for children.   There were 40 women in attendance and they were like a bunch of kids - playing.  They talked.  They laughed.  They complimented each other.  They said, "Do you have more?"  (We originally hoped that they would each make three cards.)  Were they all perfect?  No, but they put their love and hope in each card. It's been a rough week for Max (and us).  A week ago, it was all Max could do to ever so slowly get up.  He stopped going up the stairs, jumping up on the bed and jumping up on the sofa.  He just laid around with those big brown eyes looking at us as if to say "What's going on?  Why can't I get up?  Why can't I run and jump?" Off to the vet, she sedated him, took x-rays, showed them to Hubby and said, "He has Hip Dysplasia and Intervertebral Disc Disease."  She gave him some drugs - pain pills, anti-inflamatory and Glousamine. Max will be 12 later this year, so we know he is getting old in dog years.  For the time being, the drugs are working and he doesn't struggle to get up after laying down.  We take short walks and he continues to eat.  He hasn't ventured upstairs and he only looks longingly at the couch - knowing that he doesn't have the "spring" in his back legs to get him up.  But he has improved considerably ove...

I can only imagine! A celebration  that will be happening in Heaven on April 10th! That's a special day Seventy years ago on April 10th My Mom & Dad said their vows In sickness and health Through good times and bad Forever and ever! I wasn't there on that day,  but I felt and experienced their love and dedication to each other all of my life until my Mom went to Heaven. And even after, Dad was still dedicated to her and missed her deeply until his passing 14 years later. I know they will be smiling and laughing Dancing and hugging Loving and caring for each other. They have always been an  inspiration to me Sharing their faith and love. Setting an example that I try to follow. Happy 70th Anniversary, Mom & Dad!

After writing for a full month and I didn't have a problem finding something to write about, I find that my mind is void of any ideas. During the month I wrote about: Family - Hubby, Michelle, Granddaughters, & friends The weather Max (he doesn't even have anything to write about) My OLW - Grateful My hobbies Our vacation And now, after one day off, my mind is blank.  At least I have one whole week to come up with something creative for next week.
