Then Mariah's 15 year old daughter goes missing and thought the police will be convinced she's a runaway, Mariah fears she's become a pawn in a deadly game. Like Ben and Renata, Mariah is about to be reminded of one of the terrifying rules of international intrigues: In high stakes game, the innocent are sacrificed for the bigger prize."
The author created some believable characters (Mariah and her daughter) and some not so believable (Frank and Reneta). In stories of espionage, I always wonder how close they are to being true. Does our government kill to protect? This was a good read, took some time to get the plot moving, but in the end it went quickly. I'd definitely read another book by Taylor Smith.
