A very moving story and one that probably happens more often that I'd like to think. What an amazing man Peter Webster was to raise his daughter from the age of 2 by himself. He loved her, protected her, but yet is it enough to be raised by only one parent? How difficult it must have been for both of them. Being a teenage is difficult, raising one is just as difficult. I truly enjoyed the book. It was one that I didn't want to put down and of course, it was a happy ending that made it even better.
I'll have to find some of Anita Shreve's other books. I've read The Pilot's Wife many years ago.

Yeah! What a lucky find at the library! So glad I picked it up. You just never know what you are going to get. I look forward to reading it some day . . .
