Tuesday SOLSC - A Brief Moment in the Sunshine

Sitting on the back deck
Sun shining brightly
Closing my eyes
Absorbing the warmth of the sun
On my face, my arms
Letting it seep into my bones
Getting my Vitamin D
Relaxing

Listening
The birds are twittering back and forth
The hum of an airplane
The boats racing on the lake
The wind chimes singing their tune
The buzz of a bee
The breeze blowing thru the trees

The clouds roll in
the sun is hidden
the warmth disappears
Rain is coming

Only a brief moment
It'll come another day
For now, I'll cherish this moment.

    Love "letting it seep into my bones." That's how I feel whenever I can catch a moment in the sun. Wonderful way to capture this moment.

    I cherish moments like these too, even if they are only moments. I love the sun but we sometimes need the rain too...
    I worship the sun...I love Spring! I didn't need to see a photograph because your words painted such a beatiful picture for me!

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. I breathed a sigh of relief.  Max looked at me as if to say "Is that it?  Can I go back to sleep now?". ...

Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
