Tuesday SOLSC - May 8, 2012 - A Birthday Party

It's ELMO everywhere!!!  We celebrated the twins second birthday!  What fun!!!  Shy at first, but then really got into the party mood.

We had:
    Elmo cupcakes
    Elmo cake
    Elmo veggie tray
    Elmo fruit tray
    Elmo streamers
    Elmo balloons
    Elmo lanterns
    Pin the nose on Elmo
    Elmo cards
    Elmo dolls
         Elmo, Elmo everywhere

They both looked at the cupcakes, gingerly putting a finger in the frosting and then....
M ate the whole thing - P just kept checking out the people and everything going on and wasn't interested in eating.

They started opening presents and then more and more and more - they went from one gift to the next,.   At the end of the day, we had two very tired little girls who promptly fell asleep and I'm sure they were dreaming of Elmo, Elmo everywhere.

    Uh, I've overdosed on Elmo. Red, furry, fluffy. But, they sure do LOVE him! Slowly Elmo is disappearing...shhhh. Think they will notice??? Of course! Thanks for helping celebrate! It was a success with all your help. Love you both, M

    What is it about Elmo that makes kids love him so? My son loved him and I am sure that Nattie will too...

    Oh Judy, I so remember the Elmo days . . . thanks for bringing me back, memories that make me smile! Michelle put the picture of the 4 of you on our "brag" board at work...adorable!!!

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
