Tuesday SOLSC - 6/25/13 - Eight Days Down - Only Four Days Left
We've gone to the beach, playing in the sand, swallowing some lake water, running away from the waves.
We've gone to the library for story time to learn about lobsters and make a lobster hat and to check out some books.
We've gone to the park, running, screaming, sliding, swinging, riding the merry-go-round, playing on our scooters.
We've gone to an indoor picnic to meet all of Grandma & Grandpa's friends at church.
We've gone back to the library to listen to Ronald McDonald talk about ecology and do some magic tricks.
We've gone to church and sat still for a whole hour with nary a peep.
We visited Grandma at work.
We ask lots of questions (constantly).
We tolerate Max (and he keeps one eye open just to see what we're doing).
We're going to meet a fellow slicer this week and pick up our future Aunt at the airport.
We've read and played. We found some of Mommy's "old" dolls and some stuffed animals.
We've found things that Grandma had forgotten that she had.
It's been a busy eight days, with only four more to go. They are going by so quickly. Hopefully these are some of the good things they remember about visiting Granny & Grampy.
What a wonderful week, and a fantastic way to remember all the pieces that made it so fun.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a terrific time, Judy. I love when my grandson (and his parents) come to visit! One of the granddaughters is coming today to spend the night, & was here Sunday too. Special hours! I'm glad you're having such a long time together-just read Michelle's post too about "her" day off! And, love that final line "We've found things that Grandma had forgotten that she had." I understand!

ReplyDeleteThanks for having us. I know it can be stressful moving into your space and having three year olds take over, but hopefully there were many moments to savor.
Even though your life gets busy and noisy, you clearly appreciate every minute of it. The time you have together is very precious.
