Tuesday SOLSC 7/30/13 - Showers

I didn't plan on writing today, since we got back late yesterday from IL, but as I stood in the shower this morning, I started thinking about "Showers".

I was "Showered" with the warm water rolling down my body.

The earth is being quenched this morning with a "Shower" of gentle rain.

Our son and future daughter were "Showered" with many gifts and friendship this past weekend.

I was "Showered" with hugs and kisses from my granddaughters.
        
                                         God "Showers" me daily with His blessings.

      Yes, Leigh Anne, it is a wonderful book - I listened on audio and am ready to sit down and read it thoroughly. I've been to her website and have printed out the Joy Dare Collection - which I was doing faithfully until .... I need to start again.

    Showers is a gem of a word...and yes, I have been 'showered' with things in my house breaking lately (air conditioner, faucet, and last night the washing machine)....but maybe peppered is a better word for the the 'not so great'. xo

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
