Tuesday SOLSC - 12/3/13 - My 30 Days of Thanks

During November I compiled a list of the things that I am most thankful for.  This thankfulness relates to my OLW for 2013 - GRATEFUL.  Here's my Thankful/Grateful List:

1.  Beauty of the Ozarks
2.  Comfort and safety in our home
3.  A beautiful fall day as we shared fellowship with church members and received forgiveness of our sins.
4.  Family and friends
5.  Rain that feeds the ground, trees, flowers and wildlife.
6.  Our herd of deer who watch us as we watch them.
7.  The Ozark Center of Hope - the individuals, churches and organizations who support the Center and especially for Sandra, our director, who is so caring and supportive of our clients.
8.  My husband who cooks for me, helps me around the house and takes care of all the little things to make my life easier.
9.  Changing of seasons.
10.  My Mom & Dad who taught me about the love of God.
11.  Our veterans - living and deceased.  Our servicemen and women who give of themselves to protect us and others.
12.  Good health.
13.  Our prayer group - a place where we can share our concerns, doubts and needs and knowing that I am in their prayers.
14.  My journey to Guatemala, helping others while I gained so much more than I could ever give.
15.  Talking with friends who live far away.
16.  A good book, or two or three....
17.  Our small group - enjoying dinner and a good discussion about our Bible study.
18.  Raking and mulching leaves - leaving a well manicured yard.
19.  Skyping with Michelle & girls
20.  Sitting in front of a blazing fire enjoying a cup of tea (or glass of wine).
21.  A part time job that I enjoy and working with two great guys.
22.  The gift of music to listen to and sing along with.
23.  Receiving a surprise picture book of our Guatemala journey from my brother.
24.  Sharing a week in Guatemala with my brother.
25.  The warmth of sunshine on a chilly fall day.
26.  A long overdue chat with my daughter
27.  God's love, grace and mercy.
28.  A special day to spend giving thanks and sharing a delicious meal with good friends.
29.  Leftovers from our Thanksgiving meal.
30.  The anticipation of Christmas and the birth of our Lord.

And so much more that I'm thankful for each day.

  2. It's kind of overwhelming--in the best possible way--to see a list of everything we're grateful for in just on month. I love focusing on thanksgiving through the month of November. I'm trying to carry that spirit forward through the rest of the year as well.

  5. Yes and always #27 where my thankful heart begins. It is a joy to read your thankful list. A simple act of writing it all out reveals your many blessings and reminds me of mine.
