Made to Crave Blog Hop - 1/16/14 - My Favorite Scripture

 

Matthew 7:7,8 (NKJV) 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

These verses are only a few of my favorite scriptures, but these two are extra special because they were my Confirmation Verses.  What a wonderful promise God has given each of us!  These verses reassure me that God is always available for me to talk with and share my concerns and requests.  It doesn't mean that I get everything I ask for or seek or get it in my timeframe, but it does mean that God hears me and cares about my needs and wants.   I know that He will give me what I need in His time.  

I looking forward to this Bible Study and reading what others have to say.

    I love the reason for your blog at the top. I can so relate to that and always thought I was the only person who did that. :) Also, I love the way you look at these verses. This is going to be a great study! I am so excited to get started~~ Marlene, OBS Small group leader

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. I breathed a sigh of relief.  Max looked at me as if to say "Is that it?  Can I go back to sleep now?". ...

Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
