Tuesday SOL - 7/1/14 - The Babies Have Finally Arrived

We've been waiting and watching.  But they didn't appear.  We'd see a lot of does grazing across the yard, but no babies.   Usually by mid May we see some little ones with spots, but not this year.  Maybe it was because of the cold, long winter.  Maybe they delayed their mating season.  We don't know, but finally when we got back from vacation, there they were.  Not one, not two, but three little ones.  We're not sure if they're triplets or twins and a single.  Some times they appear all together and other times just two and occasionally only one grazes.  We love to watch their antics as they eat and play and romp across the yard.

  



 These two little ones were munching outside of the garage.  I quietly went out and they posed for me.  I inched closer, but they got nervous and off they went to find Mama.

    Love these pictures! Reminds me of the time we encountered deer on the beach in Oregon. I clicked on your link expecting human babies. So glad you came back to these antics from the triplets!

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
