Tuesday SOL - 5/26/15 - An Unexpected, but anticipated Phone Call

A week ago last Friday, we received a phone call from our realtor, actually two of them.  We were in Walmart shopping and missed both calls.  When we got into the car to head home, I noticed there were voice mails.  First call, "we want to show your house tomorrow".  No problem.  We have been ready.

Second call, "Good news, we have an offer on your home!  Call me."

Hubby and I looked at each other - OMG - can it be?  Who could it be?  Our thoughts went unsaid for a few minutes while we pondered that life changing phone call.  A quick call to the realtor, arranged a time to talk, still wondering which of the visitors were loving our house.

When our realtor arrived, she said it was a "sight unseen" offer contingent upon a visual by Friday and closing of their current house a week later.   The offer was good, so after sleeping on it, we signed the contract.  Praying all week that they would love the house more in person than on-line.

Last Thursday, the buyers arrived.  Walked around the house.  Talked.  Looked some more.  Talked.  He was all smiles, she had a perplexed look on her face.  Upon leaving, he said his mind was made up, but he would need to do some talking to his wife.  Ummm - didn't leave us with a great feeling.

But... another call came on Friday from our realtor.  THEY SAID YES!  First contingency down, now we wait until this Friday for their closing.  Saying prayers, keeping our fingers crossed AND

Searching for a new home for us!  God has brought us this far, so we'll just keep relying on His Grace.

  2. Congratulations! That was pretty quick. Busy days ahead for you, packing and locating a new place. Exciting steps in the journey of life!
BTW, we did not find the onions until after we had returned home. At least the Gladware contained the smell.
