SOL 6/16/15 - Purging, Donating, Tossing, Packing

Cabinet by cabinet
Drawer by drawer
Closet by closet
Purge
Donate
Toss
Pack

It's never ending
It seems to grow
each time I look

The boxes are piled high
The movers have been called
The date for closing has been moved out
Good and bad
More time to pack
More worry that it will close

In the meantime
I'll keep
purging
donating
tossing
and packing

    It's been ten years since I moved. I still rememebr how tired I got from cleaning, throwing away and packing. Wishing you the best. It will be over soon. Fresh start.

    I cringe at the thought of packing my life into boxes for a move. Hopefully I am not doing that soon. Hang in there Judy, it will all be worth it.

    I feel your pain Judy! But it's a great feeling when it's over and all the purging makes for less stuff and clutter! Best of luck with the move!

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. I breathed a sigh of relief.  Max looked at me as if to say "Is that it?  Can I go back to sleep now?". ...

Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
