Tuesday SOL - 9/29/15 - Matching Set

Earlier this month I wrote a slice about not having delivery of all of our bedroom furniture Disappointment .  Well, last week I got THE CALL.  The headboard, footboard and frame had arrived.  When could they deliver it?  Immediately, I asked?  Well, how about the next day?  No problem.

We scheduled it for after 2:00 p.m.  I was at my volunteer job and Hubby was getting ready to go to the gun club for his afternoon shoot.  It was a little after 1:00.  The doorbell rang, the phone rang, Hubby in the shower.  He quickly got out of the shower, ran to the front door as the delivery guys were closing up the truck. They were early - imagine that.

They quickly moved the mattress and box, set up the headboard and frame.  A total completion to the bedroom furniture.  Hubby had the bed all made except for the quilt, which we quickly added and Voila.  Smiles abounded our faces and we are so enjoying it.

    At last! It looks lovely, in fact it looks a lot like a bed I have. :-) What a surprise to have an early delivery. Wonder what they would have done if no one was home?

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
