SOL 20/31 - On The Road Again

On The Road Again
Traveling northward up the highway
Early morning rising
To arrive mid day

On The Road Again
To visit family and friends
To get smiles and hugs
To celebrate anniversary and birthday

On The Road Again
For just a week
To get our granddaughter fix
To play and read and play some more

On The Road Again
To spend time talking
And catching up
And relaxing

On The Road Again
Ten long hours
Gyros and beef sandwiches waiting
And a glass of wine or two.

Yes, we're On The Road Again

  1. I'll be on the road soon, too--getting my writing and coffee-drinking done and then it's time to pack lunches for the car. But we'll be heading south. See you on the road!

  4. A few hours in the car gets you a week of fun with family. Sounds like a fair trade to me. Enjoy!

  10. I could hear Willie singing .... on the road again. And you made it! It's a loooong drive, but the reward of being at your destination and getting to see us is worth it all! :)
