Tuesday SOL 12/20/16 - Christmas Blessings

As I think back over the past year, I think of all the blessings that I have received.

Spending time with family and friends
Good health
A wonderful place to live
Travel to places we've never been
Travel to help others
Hugs received and shared
A smile on someone's face
Joy in learning something new
Helping small children
Meeting new neighbors
And so much more

The year has been jam packed full of blessings.  But as I ponder this Christmas Season, the greatest blessing of all is the Gift that God sent us so many years ago.  In a few days, we'll celebrate His birth and praise Him.

I pray that God has blessed you this past year and that you will share those blessings with others.

    What a wonderful list. You are truly blessed. My biggest blessing in my health. God got me the help I needed when I didn't even know I needed help.

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.   We hear so much negativity and doubt that many become depressed in our country at this time.  It's time for us to look to the positive and find the magic that surrounds us.  Here's my list of Magic that I've discovered recently. A phone call from a friend I hadn't heard from in a while A text message wishing me a great day A positive reply to my "thought for the day" for Michelle & girls A hug or two or three from Hubby.  And some hugs given to special friends.
