March SOL 4/31 - Has Spring really come?

Spring

That time of the year that is so special
A time of awakening and rebirth
A time to feel the warmth of sunshine on my face
A time to hear the birds twitter
A time to dig in the soil
A time to plant
A time to watch the buds turn into flowers
A time to watch the trees form their leaves and turn green
A time to shed the heavy winter clothes
A time to smell the rain
A time to be cautious of storms
A time to be thankful for God's gifts

Can Spring really be here at the beginning of March?
Or is this just a trick of nature?

Today, I'm filled with JOY because we have
a beautiful Spring day to enjoy!

    Although we have had springlike weather last week yesterday we had snow squalls that caused major accidents on I-81. My favorite thing about spring---changing the clocks and having daylight last longer.

    I'm jealous. It's cold here. Sun shining. Clear blue sky. But walk outside and it is just cold. Our day will come soon ... renewal, revival, rebirth, regrowth all takes time, right? Patience ... enjoy your spring day. I pray it is there to stay and then you will send some our way! Love you, Mom.

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. I breathed a sigh of relief.  Max looked at me as if to say "Is that it?  Can I go back to sleep now?". ...

Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.
