Tuesday SOL 7/17/18 - Another of God's Creatures

This morning I walked outside to check the rain gauge and as I turned back toward the house, there were five different webs that the spiders created overnight.

 This web was huge and if you can see the dot in the middle, the spider is resting and waiting.  I went out about half an hour later and the web was completely gone
I held up a towel behind this web, so you could better see the lace work.

Think of the hours (or perhaps only minutes) that it took to create these masterpieces for the night and then to take down and put back up tonight.  I dislike spiders, but seeing the creations they make is totally amazing.

    I am always amazed at the intricate work of spider webs, as long as they are outside and not in the house. They truly are works of art.

    Such beauty! I love spider webs--unless they smack me in the face with no warning. I recently took some photos of webs covered with dew drops. In one of them, you could actually see a rainbow across the strands. Amazing! I wish I could share the picture. What a great post appreciating the small wonders in our world! Thanks!

SOL 18/31 - The Realtor's Came Yesterday

Yesterday, the realtor's came to look at our house.  Our realtor only brings his own people thru, so it wasn't too bad.  Max slept thru most of it until they went upstairs where he was sleeping.  He barked briefly, came downstairs, got petted and pampered a little.  They walked thru the house, in the bedroom, up the stairs, down the stairs, looked things over, asked a few questions and 15 minutes later out the door they went. Our realtor told me he has had a couple of calls - one from a neighbor (being nosy) and another from a realtor who said this house is exactly what his clients are looking for, but they had just left the day before it was listed.  But could they put in an offer sight unseen?  Really???  Is this just a realtor's ploy to make us feel good or is it real?  No offer yet, but who knows.  It could happen. Tuesday SOL 10/23/12 - Mr. Pockets goes to school

Last week there was an article in our local newspaper that I found fascinating and wanted to share it with you.  This is a story about a dog who listens as children read out loud.  It's a new program in our school district and I'm proud that our district is using this innovative program to help students learn. Animals are so loving, caring and accepting, and the students love to have someone that they can read to and to be loved unconditionally.   We hear so much negativity and doubt that many become depressed in our country at this time.  It's time for us to look to the positive and find the magic that surrounds us.  Here's my list of Magic that I've discovered recently.
